Day 4: May 19, 2015 Cocoa Beach to Vero Beach 55 miles

This is going to sound like a broken record but it was another perfect day to ride today! The ride went quickly today because we had a bit of a tailwind in the morning and kept our pace around 13 to 14 mph and Bob, Katie, and Chuck had a crazy 8 mile dash to the finish at 15 to 17 mph pace into a 12 mph headwind! (with 70 lb. bikes) Guess what, our transplant survivor proved that a one man breakaway can indeed succeed! I guess we are all starting to feel stronger after 4 days on the road. We are also humbled by your generosity. Our fundraising total is now up to $3,219 and our team is growing. We want every blood cancer patient to get the transplant they need and have the opportunity to kick everyone’s butt in an 8 mile sprint at the end of a 55 mile ride. Thank you!!
