Day 7: May 22, 2015 Jensen Beach to West Palm Beach 48 miles

Heat, humidity, and sunny skies…well… while we were riding anyway, looks like someone nearby got the afternoon thunderstorm today. Really nice ride today: Jensen Beach, Jupiter Island, Juno, then on to West Palm Beach. We saw some manatees. We had a great lunch at Cathy’s Beach Connections Restaurant, best fish sandwich I ever had, crispy grouper with corn flake coating. One minor incident involving unclipping from the pedals at a traffic light, a few scrapes, bike and rider are ok. As we rode into West Palm Beach we saw a woman walking on the sidewalk that had a PICC line with a gauze pad over it, looked like she was probably returning from chemo, brought back a lot of memories. We also got a $20 cash donation from a young man we met at a gas station while we were filling up our water bottles. How awesome is that! Life is good, enjoy the ride! our fundraising total for Lifeblood Ride 2 stands at $3,239, let’s see if we can push it over $4,000 and add even more donors to the marrow donor registry!
